The 2nd Annual Jr. Oiler Cultural Festival at Dwyer Middle School was another success. It brought together students, families, staff, and the community to celebrate cultural diversity and unity. With 18 vibrant booths showcasing history, artifacts, games, and culinary treasures from around the globe, the festival beautifully highlighted the rich cultural tapestry within the Dwyer community.

The event was organized through the dedicated efforts of the PTSA, ASB, and staff, with special thanks to Mrs. Ladonna Gundling and Mrs. Mason for their leadership. Each booth offered an immersive experience in a different culture, where attendees could sample foods, view artifacts, and participate in interactive activities—the night also featured captivating performances, with students proudly sharing traditional dances from their cultures, one of the event's many highlights.

Festival attendees were encouraged to explore and learn by completing their “cultural passports,” earning stamps from each booth they visited. Congratulations to all students who completed their passports and won raffle prizes as a reward for their cultural curiosity and engagement!

Dwyer Principal Dr. Christa Glembocki shared her excitement, saying, “The Jr. Oiler Cultural Festival is a powerful celebration of our diversity and community spirit. Watching our students proudly share their heritage is inspiring and reinforces our commitment to inclusivity and cultural appreciation.”
