The Huntington Beach City School District charges parents to transport students to and from the various schools in our District. The fees collected by this program cover a portion of the total cost of transportation. If adequate funding is not available from the State, the transportation expenses will be re-evaluated. According to Education Code Section 39809.5, a district is only able to charge up to the difference between transportation income and expenses.
Student bus passes are $254.00 (includes processing fee) per semester. Students may be eligible for free bus passes if they qualify under one of the following criteria:
To qualify for a free bus pass, you must submit a copy of your 2024-2025 approval letter from your School Funding Form Meal Application, in addition to the Bus Application for the 2024-2025 school year. These forms and applications are attached below in both English and Spanish.

The Transportation office is open between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm, located at the Gothard Facility at 16072 Gothard Street, Huntington Beach.
